Monster
Unit 4
My plan is to first construct a pinch pot bowl for the base to support the monester. Then I will make a slab rolled cup to make the face. Then I will make tenticles to attach to the head and other details. Some will be too complicated so I can simplify it or I can remove some parts that are unnessisary to the piece. Then I will glaze based on the colors of the reference to bring the monster to life.
Series of 4
Unit 4
I will first construct 4 pieces with accurate matching size. Then, I will construct the letters and shapes and slip and score them. Then I will glaze
Reflection: They did not turn out as even as I had hoped and it was difficult because I made half last semester and half this one.
Cup with Handle
Plan: I will roll out a slab, cut out a circle piece for the bottom and a long rectangle for the cup. Then I will slip and score it on and create the ridge to secure it also making it raised for the bottom of the mug. Then I attached the handle.
Reflection: Overall I'm unhappy with this it turned out fairly cracked and not as even as I would have liked.
LIdded box
Unit 4
Plan: I will roll out slabs and cut them into 6 rectangles. I will slip and score them on then merge the seems. Next I created the ridge in the lid to keep it secure. Then I will make the rose by making little pettles. Lasly I made little hearts to look like flowers and made me and my girlfriends initials for her for valentines day.
Reflection: I think it overall turned out well except that the box is a little off shaped and the rose is heavy and it is weighing down the lid a little.
